PUMPKIN CARVING FUN

 This weekend we had so much fun

 carving our pumpkins for Halloween. 

 Every year we take the kids to pick out

one pumpkin each that they get to clean 

out themselves and then  go online to 

pick out the faces they want me to carve

for them. It won't be to much longer

before I pass over the tool and let them

 carve their own pumpkins but for the

 time being I enjoy doing that part.

 Pumpkin carving is so much simpler

 when you have a pumpkin carving kit. 

This is what I purchased last year.

 It's a neat little kit and it also comes 

with stencils to use. I don't know if other

 kits are build as durable as this one but 

I was actually able to use it last year and

 almost finished my project this year. I

 will be buying a new set next season 

because both my little carving tools not 

only bent but the smallest ones blade

 broke off.

The kids choose to go online to find stencils for their pumpkins. There are many different free sites that can be used or if you want something with a lot of detail they have sites where you pay for the ability to print your stencil. Also you can just search "Pumpkin carving stencils or templates" on your favorite search engine and you'll find many more printables.

1. I love many different fragrances but my most favorite is

4. I love to paint (walls that is) I would love to move but since that's not in my near future I choose to change up my home with little projects.

5. I carry my camera with me just about everywhere I go and take pictures of the most random things as well as my kids.

6. I keep my hair dyed to hide all my white hairs. You would be surprised I have more than most people my age that I know.

7. I would much rather have a big ol' beefy 4x4 truck or SUV than most cars. Excluding A super sweet Mustang that I want!

8. I'm a big beef eater but I'm picky as to what beef I eat. My favorite steak of all is the ribeye.

9. Halloween has always been one of the funniest holidays for me. Even as a kid I've always enjoyed dressing up and I love dressing up with my kids.

10. I don't like having to help my eldest kids with any math homework because it makes me feel uneducated. I usually end up having to get their school book and teach myself before I can help them out.

11. I feel very fortunate to have my tried and true friends. My list may be small but I love them all and am very thankful to have them in my life.

1. Why do you blog??

I enjoy sharing my ideas, recipes, things that make me laugh, 

what's going on with the kids, especially things I'm very proud

 of.

2. What can't you live without??

My family. I know sounds lame but honestly I would be totally 

lost with out my wonderful husband and 3 kids. They are my 

life.

3. What's your star sign??

I am A LEO

4. If you were stranded on a deserted island who and what(one item) would you like to have with you??

James(hubby) and knife. With just him and that I do believe we

 would possibly have a chance of getting out of there. the knife

 would not only be good for cutting stuff to make weapons 

and/or shelter but could also be used to kill for food or safety.

5. What's your favorite pastime??

Movie nights with the kids or just spending time with them.

 They grow so fast I don't want to miss moment we can turn 

into memories.

6. What's the silliest thing you've ever done??

It wasn't really silly but more like dumb. we were getting over

run by stray kittens so my husband and I devised a plan to 

lour the kittens into the house with food and then catch them

 with a laundry basket so that we could take them to the local 

cat cradle so that they would have a better life. Long story 

short we caught all the kittens but one. The last kitten was a 

bit to smart and when I went to catch him, he caught me. He 

latched onto my hand and proceeded to gnaw on it like 

hamburger. My husband ended up having to choke the kitten 

in order to get it to let me go. I ended up having to have rabies 

shots and almost had to have surgery on my finger. but I 

learned never to mess with stray cats after that.

7. What's your favorite romantic/love story movie??

TITANIC!!

8. Where in the world would you like to travel to (pretend money is no issue)??

ITALY

9. Describe yourself in 3 words.

10. Whats your favorite sport?? (to watch or play)

FOOTBALL!! I love to watch football on tv and when my

family plays
